Map Pin Quiz

Given a country name, click its location on the interactive world map. Difficulty scales with country size — small islands are hard mode.

No multiple choice — click the right country on the map.

Map Pin Mode drops you on a blank interactive world map and asks you to click the correct country. There are no answer choices — you either know where Malawi is or you don't. Difficulty scales by country size, so Russia is easy and Vanuatu is very hard.

How it works

  1. A country name appears at the top of the map.
  2. Click on the country you think it is — no shortlist, no hint.
  3. The map reveals the correct country and how close your click was.
  4. Small countries count for more on higher difficulties.

Unique mechanic

Difficulty (easy/medium/hard) filters the country pool by land area, so hard mode is almost entirely small nations, island states, and micro-countries you rarely see on a standard globe.

Why it helps you learn

Location recall is spatial memory, not verbal. Clicking on a map is a very different retrieval than picking from a list — this mode is what fills in the mental atlas the flag and capital quizzes can't build on their own.
