Speed Mode is a timed sprint. Pick 30, 60, or 90 seconds and answer as many multiple-choice questions as you can. Correct answers are +1, a streak of correct answers stacks +2 bonuses, and wrong answers cost you nothing but time.
Scoring is +1 per correct, +2 per streak-continuing correct, and 0 for wrong. There is no penalty — the only cost of a wrong answer is the second you spent reading it.
Speed practice builds fluency, not just knowledge. Once you can recognise a country, the goal is to do it in under a second — that automaticity is what separates "I studied that" from "I know it cold".
